Dolphins minicamp has buzz appeal
Apr. 30, 2009 (Sun Sentinel delivered by Newstex ) --

Here's?more reason?the Wildpat or the Whitecat (we really have to decide on a name) is one of the biggest story lines?of last weekend's draft.

ESPN's John Clayton said the Miami Dolphins' use of second-round draft pick Pat White will be the second biggest story line of NFL rookie camps this weekend.

White's addition to Tony Sparano'steam is ahead of whether Anquan Boldin's participating in the Cardinals minicamp without a new contract, how Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb likes his new offensive weapons, and tops if Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell can play nice and serve as a good leader for an organization that tried to upgrade him all offseason.

The only story Clayton listed as bigger than White's impact on his new team, and the?NFL, is Mark Sanchez's addition to the Jets.

That means not only will the nation, but the rest of the NFL - which is very curious about White's role -?will be paying attention to how the Dolphins use the West Virginia record-setter.

Does he line up as a receiver? Take carries out of the backfield? Is he going to be returning punts and kickoffs, or exclusively throwing passes?

Like it or not, everyone (including those who refer to themselves in third-person) gets a fresh start this weekend, so that means E.L.E. until we see how they stack up against the veterans.

Rookie camp starts on Friday, but is closed to the public. The media will be there to watch, and we'll do our best to let you know what's going on during all five practice sessions, but we'll be battling against some new restrictions geared towards preventing the flow of information to the team's fans.

The Dolphins clearly want to keep a lot of what they do private, and I can fully understand that. But we've all got jobs to do baby, so let's dance.

So, what is it you'd like to know about this weekend? Who do you wish you could watch?
