
--General manager Jeff Ireland was asked recently if the Dolphins have a true No. 1 receiver.
"It is Teddy (Ginn Jr.), it's (Greg) Camarillo. Those are the receivers that are No. 1 and No. 2 or No. 2 or No. 1 right now. We obviously need to upgrade a lot of positions and receiver is a position that we need some depth at for sure."
--The Dolphins will play the Houston Texans for the third straight season but first at home. They are 0-3 against Houston, the only team in the NFL they've never beaten.
--Connecticut CB Darius Butler has Dolphins roots in that his uncle Gene Atkins was a hard-hitting safety for Miami from 1994-96.
--The Dolphins' season home opener will be against the Colts on ESPN's Monday Night Football. It's the first time since Sept. 22, 1975, and only the third time in team history, that the Dolphins have started the home portion of the regular season on Monday night. Additionally, it will be the first time this has ever happened in Dolphin Stadium.
--The Dolphins will visit the Panthers for a Thursday night nationally televised game on NFL Network. They're 3-0 against Carolina, which is the only team in the NFL they've never lost to.
--The Dolphins haven't played in Atlanta since 1998.
--The Dolphins haven't hosted the Saints since 1998, a 30-10 win on Nov. 29th.
--The Dolphins will face all four of their preseason opponents in the regular season, including Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, New Orleans and Carolina.
