Three Dolphins won fan voting for the Pro Bowl, which ended on Tuesday.
Joey Porter, who has 16 1/2 sacks, two shy of the Dolphins' single-season record, leads the AFC's outside linebackers and appears headed to his fourth Pro Bowl.
Jake Long's popularity as the No. 1 draft pick helped him secure the top spot for tackles.
Rookie Dan Carpenter, the Dolphins' leading scorer with 87 points, won the top spot for kickers.
Titans rookie Chris Johnson edged out Ronnie Brown, who entered last week as the AFC's top vote-receiving tailback.
Fan voting is just one of three components in selecting Pro Bowl participants.
Players and coaches vote this week (offensive players vote for defensive players and vice versa) for the final two components.
The Pro Bowl teams will be announced on Tuesday.
"When you're voted on [by] your peers that says a lot in itself. It would be a great honor, but I can't really worry about it," said Brown, who has accounted for 1,010 total yards and 11 touchdowns this season. "But if it happens, hell, I'd be real excited."
Coach Tony Sparano stresses team first so much he rarely deviates from that course, but on Thursday he talked about how rewarding it would be to see some of his players get invited to the Pro Bowl.
"There is a point during the course of a season where, as things are going good for you and you start to play well, maybe in the back of your mind you start to think about individual honors like that," Sparano said. Other Dolphins that might get consideration for the Pro Bowl are safety Yeremiah Bell, who has a team-leading 97 tackles; quarterback Chad Pennington; cornerback Will Allen; and tailback Patrick Cobbs, who is a candidate for the AFC's top special-teams contributor.
Big day for two B's
Bob Baumhower and Doug Betters, two members of the "Killer B's" defense, will become the 18th and 19th members of the Dolphins Honor Roll at halftime Sunday. ...
Sunday's game against the 49ers was declared a sellout and will be televised by Fox (Channels 7 and 29).
Lehan cut from IR
Cornerback Michael Lehan was released from the team's injured reserve. Team officials confirmed the move, which allows the six-year veteran to sign with another team, but would not specify if an injury settlement was made.
